Volunteer Zambia Foundation Induction of Students at Sport in Action

On Monday, June 3 2024, Sport in Action received and inducted 16 students from the UK through the Volunteer Zambia Foundation.

Every year, the Volunteer Zambia Foundation sends out student volunteers who are placed across Sport in Action’s Lusaka sports developmental sites to work in collaboration with the in-country respective sports development officers.

The volunteers shall be in the country for eight weeks, working across various sites in the communities within Lusaka. The students are the first group of two to arrive and will be in the country for 8 weeks, after which the 2nd and final group shall replace them.

Sport In Action Excutive Director, Frankson Mushindu expressed gratitude to Volunteer Zambia and the Volunteer students for sacrificing their time in order to be here to help foster the develop of sports from grassroots level.

This partnership between Sport in Action and the Volunteer Zambia Foundation highlights the shared commitment to sports development and community engagement in Zambia. The presence of these student volunteers will undoubtedly contribute to the ongoing efforts to promote sports participation and education within the local communities served by Sport in Action.
