TRAINING OF SELECTED YOUTH CHAMPIONS OF CHANGE FROM NSAMA AND MPOROKOSO IN COMMUNICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT (C4D)
The Communication for Development (C4D) training conducted under the Natwampane Project being lead by World vision in partnership with Sport In Action is currently ongoing at Kutemwa Lodge and Chanda Lodge in Mporokoso for Nsama and Mporokoso districts.
The Training began on 4th October, 2021 and will end on 7th October, 2021.This training has targeted 330 young people (in and out-of-school) across the 11 districts of Northern Province representing 30 participants per district.
A total number of 60 young people (36 pupils and 24 out of school youths) from Mporokoso and Nsama are being empowered with skills on how to raise awareness and advocate for equitable, respectful and healthy gender relationships using C4D approach. The in-school participants have been drawn from 11 schools from Mporokoso and 10 schools from Nsama while the out of school participants have been drawn from the churches, sports clubs and other youth groups.
In line with this approach, the Natwampane Project is delivering a series of trainings to selected pupils and youths that will assist them to identify key messages, build their skills relating to interactive communication approaches such as photography, videography, and drama, and provide them with the practical and soft skills required to employ these approaches for triggering dialogue around Gender Equality, SRHR and SGBV issues among their peers, families, schools and communities.
