Sport In Action observes 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence
Sport In Action (SIA) joins the rest of the country and the international community in commemorating this year’s 16 days of activism against Gender Based Violence (GBV), an event that runs from 25th November to 10th December, annually.
With this year’s theme: Orange the World: #Hear me too, SIA remains committed to fighting all forms of Gender Based Violence through the power of sport. Among many projects that SIA has implemented is the USAID and DFID funded STOP GBV program where, SIA working with World Vision Zambia, engaged over 54,000 young people in GBV prevention messages in Central, Copperbelt, Muchinga, and Southern provinces of Zambia.
The call for action to prevent and eliminate GBV against women and girls is SIA’s pledge to foster a brighter future, free from GBV against women and girls. And in order to continue with GBV prevention messages beyond the commemoration period, SIA has integrated the 16 days of activism in its daily community activities.
