SIA CHAMPIONS INCLUSION AT THE 2025 INCLUSIVE SPORTS FESTIVAL

On 10 October 2025, Sport In Action joined partners and stakeholders at NASDEC to celebrate the 2025 Inclusive Sport Festival under the theme “Beyond Play: Inclusion Today, Leadership Tomorrow.”
The festival brought together more than 500 children with diverse abilities to experience the joy of play and the power of inclusion through sport. As one of the leading organizations promoting Sport for Development in Zambia, Sport In Action played an active role in coordinating inclusive games, mentoring young leaders, and creating spaces where every participant felt valued and seen.

For over two decades, SIA has believed that sport goes far beyond competition. It is a platform for empowerment, leadership, and social transformation. The Inclusive Sport Festival reflected this belief by encouraging children to engage in teamwork, develop confidence, and learn the values of respect, fairness, and friendship.
Speaking during the event, representatives from the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) and the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF) highlighted the importance of partnerships in sustaining inclusion efforts. The festival continues to stand as a model of collaboration among organizations such as NOWSPAR, Response Network, and the Judo Association of Zambia, all working toward one goal — building communities where every child, regardless of background or ability, can participate and lead.

Sport In Action’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to advancing inclusion and leadership through sport. Our facilitators and coaches helped ensure that every child had the opportunity to play, learn, and discover their potential in a supportive and joyful environment.
