Lusaka City Council (LCC) in collaboration with the IKOE Foundation and Sport In Action (SIA), joined hands to commemorate the International Forest Day 2024.

Sport In Action and its partners remain dedicated to mitigating the ongoing battle against global warming. International Forest Day brought together organizations and the community to make a positive impact on our planet through tree planting Donated by IKOE Foundation.

The exercise not only adds beauty to the park and the community but also contributes towards increasing the green cover and promoting a healthier environment. Every single tree planted is a symbol of hope, nurturing a greener future for generations to come.

SIA Excutive Director, Frankson Muchindu expressed appreciation for the continued great partnership between the Council and the organization stating that if there is any bear land which the council can provide to the organization in order to create more facilities where children can have more safe spaces like kabwata play park.

We all have a part to play in this battle against climate change, no matter how small. Let’s strive to protect and preserve our environment by planting more trees, reducing our carbon footprint, and making sustainable choices every day. Together, we can make a difference and create a greener, healthier future for all.
