Sport in Action Welcomes Delegation from the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF)

Lusaka, Zambia – 13-11-25
Earlier today, Sport in Action (SIA) had the pleasure of welcoming its long-standing partners from the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF). The visiting delegation, comprising Susanne Hvidsten, Rune Arctander,Nicolaj Møller Jensen and Pernille Ingebrigtsen, was warmly received by the Sport in Action management team at the organization’s head office in Lusaka.

The visit aimed to strengthen ongoing collaboration between SIA and NIF and to provide the delegation with an in-depth understanding of how their partnership continues to empower communities through sport.
Following the welcome meeting, the delegation embarked on a guided tour of four Sport in Action hub sites across Lusaka, where they interacted with community coaches, peer leaders, and young participants. The tour provided firsthand insight into how SIA’s programmes use sport as a powerful tool to promote youth empowerment, gender equity, health awareness, and life skills development.

Throughout the visit, the NIF representatives expressed appreciation for the commitment and passion demonstrated by SIA’s staff and volunteers. They commended the visible impact of the initiatives at the grassroots level and reaffirmed their support for continued collaboration.
The visit also served as a valuable platform for shared learning, reflection, and dialogue on how both organizations can further strengthen their partnership to drive sustainable development through sport in Zambia.
