Five Hubsites Represent Sport in Action at YBL Closing Tournament

Sport in Action (SIA) was proudly represented at the Youth Basketball League (YBL) Closing Tournament, which ran from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th December at the NAPSA Sports Complex in Lusaka, bringing together youth basketball teams from across the city.

The tournament featured teams from five Sport in Action hubsites: Kuku, Kanyama, Chipata, Fountain of Hope, and Kabwata, reflecting SIA’s continued commitment to grassroots youth development through sport.

Strong performances were recorded across categories, with Fountain of Hope Under-8s emerging champions in their division after an impressive showing throughout the tournament.

The SIA Scorpions Under-8 and Under-16 teams finished as runners-up, while the Fountain of Hope Girls also claimed second place following a closely contested final against Dolphins.

Sport in Action congratulates all the teams for their dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship, and wishes them well as preparations begin for the opening tournament next year.
