FIFA FOUNDATION FOOTBALL FESTIVAL

Each football festival brought together about 350+ participants from the targeted community placement sites across the three districts.The festivals ultimate goal was concentrated at promoting unity and sportsmanship while also using football as a tool to educating the participants on Gender Based Violence, HIV & AIDS, the dangers of child abuse among other community social challenges.

Mwape Konsolo, the Programs Manager of Sport in Action, expressed his satisfaction with the event. He credited the participants for their vibrant attitudes and interactions, emphasizing that it was their enthusiasm and passion that ensured the success of the festivals.

“These festival are a testimony of the power of sports in bringing people together and fostering a sense of community,”Konsolo stated. “Our organization is dedicated to promoting a healthy and better living lifestyle for all, and events like these provide an opportunity for children to play football, build friendships, and develop vital life skills.”

FIFA Foundation has been supporting Sport in Action to create a platform for children and youths to play football and have positive experiences that contribute to their overall well-being.
